GALLOP TRAVEL website located at https://gallop.travel, and related applications (hereinafter referred to as GALLOP TRAVEL, we, our, us) is an online service (collectively referred to as our Service,Website, Apps), that provides users (collectively referred to as "Users", "You" with recommendations for the organization of independent trips, the selection of tourist destinations, the compilation of routes, the selection of hotels and attractions, visits to interesting places, as well as advice on the rental of housing and cars, airline tickets and tickets for various events and lots more. Our website, mobile properties and related mobile applications are owned and operated by a Singapore Company GALLOP TRAVEL PRIVATE LIMITED.
GALLOP TRAVEL rests on the principle of helping people discover new ideas for independent trips. We understand that you are concerned about who and how may use your personal data and we are strongly committed to preserve privacy and confidentiality of your private life. This Policy does not apply to the activities of third parties or companies that are not owned and whose activities are not controlled by GALLOP TRAVEL PRIVATE LIMITED, or individuals who are not attracted or hired by GALLOP TRAVEL, and that are not under direct management of GALLOP TRAVEL PRIVATE LIMITED.
Our Policy applies to all visitors, users, and others who access the Service (hereinafter referred to as "Users").
What information we collect from you
We receive and store any information you enter on our Website or give us in any other way. This includes information that can identify you (hereinafter referred to as "Personal information"), including your first and last name, your photo, telephone number, postal and email addresses, user name and password, all of which you provide during registration or while filling in your profile on GALLOP TRAVEL. This information allows us to help you or others be "found" on GALLOP TRAVEL.
Also we store User Content, including photos, comments, and other materials, that you post to the Service.
Communications between you and GALLOP TRAVEL are saved too. For example, we may send you Service-related emails (e.g., account verification, changes/updates to features of the Service, technical and security notices). Note that you may not opt out of Service-related emails.
We may also request information about your travel plans, style and preferences, including frequent hotel or car rental program information, etc.
You can choose not to provide information to us, but in general some information about you is required in order for you to receive relevant offerings from GALLOP TRAVEL and its partners and enjoy other benefits of being a registered member. For example, only registered members are able to publish reports on their trips, post travel reviews, read newsletters and travel planning materials available only to registered users, and also participate in surveys, competitions and promotions. In addition, some information is also required in order for you to ask us a question or initiate other transactions on our site.
Users can add or may have Metadata added to their User Content, including a hashtag (e.g., to mark keywords when you post a photo), geotag (e.g., to mark your location to a photo), comments or other data. This makes your User Content more searchable by others and more interactive.
Information from Other Sources
We automatically collect some information from your computer or device when you visit GALLOP TRAVEL. For example, we will collect session data, including your IP address, Web browser software, your location, cookie information and referring website. We also may collect information about your online activity, such as content viewed, pages visited, and searches and/or reservations facilitated or made.
If you make travel reservations with third-party suppliers facilitated by GALLOP TRAVEL, we will collect payment information from you, including your credit card number, cardholder name, expiration date, authentication code, and billing address. We will securely transmit this information to the supplier of the travel reservation to complete the transaction. Please note that the supplier processes your payment, including acquiring, not GALLOP TRAVEL, unless otherwise specified. You agree to review and be bound by the supplier’s policies and procedures before making a reservation through GALLOP TRAVEL. To pay for the subscription to our Service, GALLOP TRAVEL uses third-party payment system operators, so it only has limited information about your transactions.
Display of Advertising
GALLOP TRAVEL and its affiliated websites are committed to providing you with relevant content and information across our sites. To do this, we may collect information about your travel-related searches and other site activities, such as whether you are looking for airline flights or hotels, and use this information to serve you with ads on our sites or elsewhere online that match your apparent interests. So, for example, if you search for a flight to Rome on GALLOP TRAVEL, you may see an ad for a Rome travel package on GALLOP TRAVEL or on another website you visit.
Data collected by business partners and ad networks to serve you with relevant advertising
We do not share your personal information (such as email addresses) with unaffiliated third parties so they could serve you with advertisements. Many of the advertisements you see on the GALLOP TRAVEL family of sites are served by GALLOP TRAVEL or our service providers. But we also allow third parties to collect information about your online activities through cookies and other technologies. These third parties include:
1) business partners, who collect information when you view or interact with one of their advertisements on our sites, and
2) advertising networks, that collect information about your interests when you view or interact with one of the advertisements they place on many different websites on the Internet.
The information gathered by these third parties is used to make predictions about your characteristics, interests or preferences and to display advertisements on our sites and across the Internet tailored to your apparent interests.
Response to Do Not Track Signals
Your web browser may transmit a “Do Not Track” (“DNT”) signal to GALLOP TRAVEL and other websites. Because of differences in web browsers’ default settings and the manner in which browsers incorporate DNT signals, it is sometimes unclear to site operators whether site visitors have selected the DNT setting themselves, or whether they are aware that they have a choice in determining the setting. GALLOP TRAVEL does not currently respond to DNT signals. Once the Internet industry has settled on standards related to this issue and GALLOP TRAVEL recognizes such standards, we may reevaluate this approach. Our current cookies policy is described below in this document.
Integration with Third-Party Services
GALLOP TRAVEL may use Facebook integration. If you allow this in your Facebook account settings, our Service may access all information provided by Facebook, including, but not limited to your name, your email address, your friends list or your likes. GALLOP TRAVEL may use Twitter integration. If you allow this in your Twitter account settings, our Service may access all information provided by Twitter, including, but not limited to your name, your email address, your friends list or your likes. If you choose, you can use our "Find friends" feature to locate other people with GALLOP TRAVEL accounts either through your contacts list, third-party social media sites or through a search of names and usernames on GALLOP TRAVEL.
If you choose to find your friends through your device's contacts list, then GALLOP TRAVEL will access your contacts list to determine whether or not someone associated with your contact is using GALLOP TRAVEL.
If you choose to invite someone to the Service through our "Invite friends" feature, you may select a person directly from the contacts list on your device and send a text or email from your personal account. You understand and agree that you are responsible for any charges that apply to communications sent from your device, and because this invitation is coming directly from your personal account, GALLOP TRAVEL does not have access to or control this communication. Names and emails of those you choose to invite will be used only to send invitations and reminders.
GALLOP TRAVEL allows users to plan trips. It is therefore extremely important to collect information related to your trip, such as destinations and arrivals, dates and places that the user wants to visit.
How We Use Your Information
register and manage your account, including to allow your access to and use of our Website and to remember information so you will not have to re-enter it during your visit or the next time you visit the Service;
- communicate with you in general, including to provide information about GALLOP TRAVEL and invitations from the GALLOP TRAVEL community;
- enable us to publish your reviews, posts, and other content to the GALLOP TRAVEL community;
- facilitate your booking of travel reservations, including at our partner sites;
- respond to your questions and comments;
- measure interest in and improve our products, services, and Website, develop and test new products and functions;
- notify you about special offers and products or services available from us or our partners that may be of interest to you with due regard to your marketing preferences;
- otherwise customize your experience with GALLOP TRAVEL, including customizing the ads shown to you, including provide personalized content and information to you and others, which could include online ads or other forms of marketing;
- solicit information from you, including through surveys;
- resolve disputes or troubleshoot problems;
- prevent potentially prohibited or illegal activities;
- monitor metrics such as total number of visitors, traffic, and demographic patterns;
- automatically update the GALLOP TRAVEL application on your device;
- and as otherwise described to you at the point of collection.
Location Information and Other Information from Devices
When you use the app on your device, we will collect and use information about you in generally similar ways and for similar purposes as when you use the GALLOP TRAVEL Website. In addition, we may collect information about your location if you have instructed your device to send such information to the app via the privacy settings on your device, or if you have uploaded photos tagged with location information.
We use various technologies to determine location, such as location services of the applicable operating system or browser and sensor data from your device that may, for example, provide information on nearby Wi-Fi-access points and cell towers.
Determining Your Location
GALLOP TRAVEL Services deal with location, so in order to function properly our Services need to know your location. Whenever you open and use/interact with our apps on your mobile device or go to one of our Sites, we use the location information from your device or browser (e.g., latitude and longitude) to tailor the Services to your current location (i.e., we may show you a list of nearby locations, points of attraction or calculate your route) and offer contextual advertising. This information is not shared with others, it is not transferred to or collected on our servers, with the exception of explicit user actions, such as saving user's current location as a part of user's trip.
Also, the Services use the ‘background location’ on your device to provide the Services, including to send you notifications or tips on interesting things etc. near you. If you have ‘background location’ turned on, the GALLOP TRAVEL app will, from time to time, tell us about the location of your device even if you are not directly interacting with the application.
Your real-time location is not shared on the GALLOP TRAVEL app. If you provide information (for example, tag your current location in your reviews and comments, or post photos using which your location can be directly or indirectly identified) or otherwise interact with the place, other users may infer that you have been to that location. Location tags added to your posts actually transfer location information about this place. Some content, like posts, are time stamped and other users could use that information to infer when you were at a place even though tips can be posted when you aren’t at the place you are leaving a tip about.
Display of Location Data
Every time to tag your location it is saved to your posts and is shown in the history of your posts. History data can be can be transferred to other users, depending on your privacy settings within the Service. Due to this, you and people browsing your profile on our Service have an opportunity to see your tags in the places that you marked starting from the date you registered on GALLOP TRAVEL Services. You can delete any of your location markings on our website or in our applications, and limit the viewing of this information in the circle of other Users, including your followers. If for any reason you decide to suspend your account on the Services, the information about your past tags will remain hidden for ninety (90) days and then will be removed from our database.
If you do not want your location to be tracked, disable location tracking on your device and web browser settings and/or the functionality to tag your photos with location information.
Doing so, you will affect the operation of our software and limit the functionality of GALLOP TRAVEL. If you have any queries about the privacy settings of your device, we suggest you contact the manufacturer of your device or your mobile service provider for help.
Cookies and Other Web Technologies
Cookies are small text files that are automatically placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit almost any Website (if your Web browser permits). They are stored by your web browser. Cookies contain basic information about your Internet use, but they do not normally identify you personally. Your browser sends these cookies back to the site every time you revisit it, so it can recognize your computer or mobile device and personalize and improve your site experience.

- To help us customize the content, experience and advertisements provided to you on our Websites and apps and on other websites across the Internet. For example, when you access a web page, a cookie is automatically set by us, our service providers, or our partners to recognize your browser as you navigate on the Internet and to present you with information and advertising based on your apparent interests. - To help measure and research the effectiveness of features and offerings, advertisements and email communications (by determining which emails you open and act upon).
Our sites also may use web beacons (also known as clear gifs, pixel tags or web bugs), which are tiny graphics with a unique identifier, similar in function to cookies, that are placed in the code of a Web page. We use web beacons to monitor the traffic patterns of users from one page within our sites to another, to deliver or communicate with cookies, to understand whether you have come to our site from an online advertisement displayed on a third-party website, and to improve site performance. We also may allow our service providers to use web beacons to help us understand which emails have been opened by recipients and to track the visitor traffic and actions on our site. This helps us measure the effectiveness of our content and other offerings.
How Long We Keep Your Information for
We may retain certain information associated with your account in our archives, including for analytical purposes as well as for recordkeeping integrity. The periods for which we retain your information depend on the purpose for which we collect and use it.
We will not retain your personal information for longer than is necessary for our business purposes or for legal requirements. We may retain some information for a period of time after you have closed your account with us, for instance if this is necessary to meet our legal obligations or to exercise, defend or establish legal rights.
Following termination or deactivation of your account, GALLOP TRAVEL, its affiliates, or its Service Providers may retain information (including your profile information) and User Content for a commercially reasonable time for backup, archival, and/or audit purposes.
If you would like us to delete User Provided Data that you have provided via GALLOP TRAVEL, please contact us at contacts below.
Such links may lead you to the resources of third-party services, our partner companies, service providers or advertisers that may use our logo and/or style as a result of joint branding or application of service provider agreements.
We recommend that you examine the privacy statements posted on those other websites to understand their procedures for collecting, using and disclosing personal information.
In addition, you agree that we are not responsible and do not have control over any third parties that you authorize to access your User Content. If you are using a third-party website or service and you allow them to access your User Content you do so at your own risk.
With whom we share your information
We will not rent or sell your information to third parties outside GALLOP TRAVEL without your consent, except as noted in this Policy.
GALLOP TRAVEL may share your information with the following entities:
- Third-party vendors who provide services or functions on our behalf, including business analytics, payment processing, customer service, marketing, public relations, distribution of surveys or sweepstakes programs, and fraud prevention. We may also authorize third-party vendors to collect information on our behalf, including, for example, to operate features of our Website or to facilitate the delivery of online advertising tailored to your interests. Third-party vendors have access to and may collect information only as needed to perform their functions and are not permitted to share or use the information for any other purpose.
- Business partners with whom we may offer products or services in conjunction. You can tell when a third party is involved in a product or service you have requested because their name will appear either with ours or separately. If you choose to access these optional services, we may share information about you, including your personal information, with those partners. Please note that we do not control the privacy practices of these third-party business partners.
- Referring websites. If you were referred to GALLOP TRAVEL from another website, we may share your registration information about you, such as your name, email address, mailing address, telephone number and travel preferences, with that referring website. We have not placed limitations on the referring websites’ use of personal information and we encourage you to review the privacy policies of any website that referred you to GALLOP TRAVEL.
We also may share your information if we believe, in our sole discretion, that such disclosure is necessary:
- to comply with legitimate and enforceable subpoenas, court orders, or other legal process; to establish or exercise our legal rights; to defend against legal claims; or as otherwise required by law, if we have a good faith belief that the law requires us to do so. This may include responding to legal requests from jurisdictions outside of the Republic of Singapore where we have a good faith belief that the response is required by law in that jurisdiction, affects users in that jurisdiction, and is consistent with internationally recognized standards. In such cases we reserve the right to raise or waive any legal objection or right available to us;
Information we receive about you may be accessed, processed and retained for an extended period of time when it is the subject of a legal request or obligation, governmental investigation, or investigations concerning possible violations of our terms or policies, or otherwise to prevent harm.
Any information or content that you voluntarily disclose when posting it to the Service, such as User Content, including your tips and photos, becomes available to the public, as controlled by any applicable privacy settings that you set, and will show in search results of other Users on our Website. To change your privacy settings on the Service, please change your profile setting. Once you have shared User Content or made it public, it may be searchable by search engines and be shared with or disclosed to third parties.
Individuals reading this information may use it or disclose it to other individuals or entities without our control and without your knowledge. We therefore urge you to think carefully about including any specific information you may deem private in comments, plans or tips or other content (location or otherwise) that you create in the Services.
You will have the ability to view your profile as members of the public will see it.
We also may share aggregate or anonymous information with third parties, including advertisers and investors. For example, we may tell our advertisers the number of visitors of our Website or the most popular hotels and vacation destinations. This information does not contain any personal information and is used to develop content and services we hope you will find of interest.
Other than as set out above, you will be notified when personal information about you is shared with third parties, and you will have an opportunity to choose not to have us share such information.
How we protect your information
We want you to feel confident about using GALLOP TRAVEL, and we are committed to protecting the information we collect.
Your GALLOP TRAVEL account Personal Information is protected by a password for your privacy and security. You need to prevent unauthorized access to your account and Personal Information by selecting and protecting your password appropriately, and limiting access to your computer and browser by signing off after you have finished accessing your account.
Please do your part to help us. You are responsible for maintaining the secrecy of your unique password and account information, and for controlling access to emails between you and GALLOP TRAVEL, at all times.
All passwords of Users are stored using password hashing technology, which is an industry practice for password protection in case of a security breach. We do not recommend that you use the same password and/or login on different sites. GALLOP TRAVEL does not see, collect or store information about passwords for social networking accounts, with which the registration or authorization procedure is available on our Site.
While no website can guarantee security that information on the Service may not be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed, we have implemented appropriate administrative, technical, and physical security procedures to help protect the personal information you provide to us. For example, only authorized employees are permitted to access personal information, and they only may do so for permitted business functions. In addition, we use encryption when transmitting your personal information between your system and ours, and between our system and those of the parties with whom we share sensitive information, and we employ firewalls and intrusion detection systems to help prevent unauthorized persons from gaining access to your information.
Your privacy settings may also be affected by changes the social media services you connect to GALLOP TRAVEL make to their services. We are not responsible for the functionality, privacy, or security measures of any other organization.
GALLOP TRAVEL is a general audience site and app family that does not offer services directed to children.
GALLOP TRAVEL does not knowingly collect or solicit any information from anyone under the age of 13 or knowingly allow such persons to register for the Service. The Service and its content are not directed at children under the age of 13.
If you are under 13, please do not send us any information about yourself, including your name, address, telephone number, or email address. In the event that we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under age 13 without parental consent, we will delete that information as quickly as possible. If you believe that we might have any information from or about a child under 13, please contact us.
We operate on the global scale and provide our Services to users around the world. This means that your personal information can be processed in countries where data protection and confidentiality standards may not provide the same level of protection as your country does. We store and process your personal information on our computers in the United States, Asia, Europe (including Russia) and elsewhere, and also use the services of suppliers, companies, agents and contractors that can be located in various locations outside of Singapore. These third-party companies, agents and contractors that we engage to perform services on our behalf may need to transfer your personal information internationally in order to provide their services, including to territories outside of Singapore, USA and Europe (including Russia).
Privacy Rights in the EU
If you reside within the European Economic Area, you may have certain rights in accordance with applicable laws with respect to your personal data, including the right to require access to your personal data; the right to correct your personal data, remove or restrict them; and the right to refuse to use your personal data for marketing purposes.
Privacy Rights in the State of California (USA)
Residents of the State of California (USA) may request a list of all third parties to whom our Application disclosed certain personal information (as defined by California law) in the previous year for the purposes of direct marketing of such third parties. If you are a resident of California and want to receive such a list, contact us at: email@example.com. For any inquiries, please make sure that you include "Your Privacy Rights in the State of California" statement in the text of your request, as well as your name, address, city, state, and zip code. Please provide us with sufficient information in your request, so that we can determine if it applies to you. You must confirm that you are a resident of California and provide the current address in California for our response. Please note that we do not accept requests by phone, mail or facsimile, and we are not responsible for messages that are tagged or sent inappropriately or that do not contain exhaustive information. At the moment, GALLOP TRAVEL does not take any action to respond to warnings about the prevention of tracking, since a single technology standard has not yet been developed. We continue to study new technologies and will adopt the corresponding standard as soon as it is developed.
Your choices with respect to the collection and use of your information
You can choose not to provide us with your personal information, although it may be needed to take advantage of certain features offered on GALLOP TRAVEL.
You have the right to ask us what personal information we hold about you by contacting us at the contacts below.
We endeavor to ensure that your personal information is relevant to its intended use, accurate, and complete. You can also review, add or update the information you have provided to us.
You also can add or update information and close your account at any time by logging in and changing your profile settings.
You can suspend your GALLOP TRAVEL account at any time or close it altogether. If you decide to close your GALLOP TRAVEL account, we will deactivate it and remove your profile information from active view.
You can close your GALLOP TRAVEL account by contacting us at contacts below. We will send you an email to confirm your request. Please note that after you close an account, you will not be able to sign in or access any of your personal information. However, you can open a new account at any time.
Even after you remove information from your account or profile, copies of that information may remain viewable elsewhere, to the extent it has been shared with others, it was otherwise distributed pursuant to your privacy settings, or it was copied or stored by other users. Removed and deleted information may remain on backup media for up to ninety (90) days prior to being deleted from our servers. Notwithstanding the foregoing, we will retain information as required by applicable law and we will not delete any information that has already been aggregated or anonymized.
We want you to use all the possibilities of our Web site to plan your holiday. By providing your email address to us, you expressly consent to receive emails from us, where permitted by law. We may use email to communicate with you, to send information that you have requested or to send information about other products or services developed or provided by us or our partners.
For example, if you choose to receive advertising messages by email, and then want to find information on accommodation in Paris on our website, we can send you an email with information on airfares and accommodation options in this and other cities. We believe that such messages contain useful information about special tourist offers available on our Website.
Whether registered as a GALLOP TRAVEL member or not, you also will be given an opportunity to unsubscribe from email communications from us by clicking on the "unsubscribe link" provided in any such email we send.
Please note that you may not opt out of Service-related communications (e.g., account verification, purchase and billing confirmations and reminders, changes/updates to features of the Service, technical and security notices).
We may receive a confirmation when you open an email from GALLOP TRAVEL if your computer supports this type of program. GALLOP TRAVEL uses this confirmation to help us make emails more interesting and helpful and improve our service.
If you provide your phone number to us and opt in, GALLOP TRAVEL or our service provider may send you periodic text messages, for example to restore your account password. We reserve the right to ask for any action on our Website to authorize your phone number before sending a message. These may include marketing text messages, as well as operational messages about features and updates to our Services. Standard text message and data rates will apply. You are not required to agree to receive text messages in order to use any of our apps or other services. You may unsubscribe from our text messages by following the instructions contained in the message or following us to contacts below.
